AEDIN CHRISTOPHER
ARCHITECTURE & DIGITAL ENVIRONMENTS
I work across built and digital worlds, shaping places that make an impact. In the built world, this means hospitals, schools, libraries, and civic buildings that bring people together. In the digital world, it means game environments and virtual architecture that invite players to explore, imagine, and enjoy.
As a PMP-certified project manager, I thrive at the intersection of design and delivery, guiding teams with clarity while staying hands-on with the tools and technology that bring ideas to life. This portfolio is a glimpse into that journey: projects that shape communities, spark imagination, and open worlds to explore.

CRYSTAL FLIGHT
DIAMONDSTORM STUDIO | GAME ENVIRONMENT
Crystal Flight is a gliding adventure in a snowy, volcanic chasm. The environment is designed to guide the player to gather crystals, on the ground and then in the air. The level pacing is structured around relaxing glide sequences alternating with speedy dives and geyser lifts.
I designed the environment to showcase the flight mechanic, shaping landscapes and materials in Unreal Engine to guide the player’s experience. I also collaborated on level design, 3D graphics, sound, music, and UI, working through iterative testing to refine gameplay and create a cohesive world.

"We had the opportunity of working directly with Ms. Christopher within our Division of Geriatric Medicine at the Jewish General Hospital for about one and a half years and found her to be extremely efficient and organized. Her work was always done with great care and consideration for our needs. Although Ms. Christopher worked on other projects, she always made herself available to us and finished the project within the time frame. We highly recommend Ms. Christopher and believe she will be a great asset to any future projects."

UNIVERSITY OF MONTREAL HOSPITAL CENTRE
NEUF ARCHITECTS | INFRASTRUCTURE QUEBEC + CHUM COLLECTIF CONSORTIUM
The University of Montreal Hospital Centre is a world-leading healthcare facility dedicated to specialized care, research, and teaching. Spanning two city blocks, it replaces several outdated hospitals and integrates modern healthcare functions with significant historical elements, including the preserved steeple of an abandoned church that once stood on the site.
I joined the design team at NEUF Architects in collaboration with Cannon Design to work on the design of the new amphitheatre, within the iconic copper-clad research and instruction pavilion. With the design phase complete, I went on to work as BIM manager for the project details Revit model, managing an evolving database of details and their components, coordinating, troubleshooting and collaborating with a team of more than thirty architects and designers in five cities for the production of over a thousand detail drawings.

DESIGN COMPETITIONS
BERLIN
In Berlin after reunification it was a time of redefining a nation's identity, when architects were called on to repair the urban fabric and set the stage for a fresh start. There was a lot going on.
All the major firms were busy with design competitions. I worked on competition plans, details and design panels for Novotny+Maehner and TMP Architects. I went on to refine the designs and develop the space planning and construction drawings for large scale commercial and public projects, such as offices for Commerzbank and Belzig Hospital.
There were the little projects too, like the design of a restaurant in central Berlin, working with Rainer Mueller and Andrew King.

CARLETON UNIVERSITY
BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE
The Bachelor of Architecture program at Carleton University was a five-year professional degree with a final year thesis. There was a strong emphasis on theoretical architecture, while at the same time a focus on hands-on exploration of materials in the woodworking and metal shop.
Filmed and set in Berlin, my final project took the form of a research and design thesis documented in video. In each of the films, we follow the paths of three characters, an east German, a west German and an American, getting to know them and their ways of being in the city, in order to propose, using models, drawings and video, a design for a space for each of them.

BAUHAUS
DESIGN-BUILD STUDIO
I was chosen to join a team of international students for a half-year design-build studio at the Bauhaus in Dessau, Germany. As well as using light projections to creatively animate temporary installations, students were invited to propose and build a permanent construction on the Bauhaus grounds, using found objects and recycled materials.
My final project, a gatehouse for the Bauhaus courtyard, opens a path from a neighbouring residential area through the courtyard to the market street beyond. The small covered space offers a moment's shelter, frames a different view of the Bauhaus, and invites passers-by into the courtyard.
